K is here

Hurray! K arrived this evening and is already sound asleep in a jetlagged stupor in bed. His plane was a little bit late but otherwise our arrival was like clockwork.

Within one hour Mizzy, who hasn't seen him in 8 months, was back in his lap curled in a little purring kittenish ball. It was so cute that it bordered on disgusting. She clearly remembered that distinctive lap.

So far we haven't had much time to do more than have dinner and do some joint laptopping - My other hurrah of the day is that I sent out paper number one to my co-authors. Tomorrow, once I am finished writing up the exam, I will prepare paper number 2 to go out. I had hoped to be finished with these chores before K arrived. Alas, given that he is sleeping soundly and nursing a cold, I don't think that he is missing me too much.

Alas but for now, I shall call it a (long) night, read a few pages, and then climb into bed. (It is presently -20C with the wind chill..nice night for keeping warm..)
