...bias in teaching evaluations....

Julie also sent me a link to this interesting, although not surprising, article about biases in teaching evaluations. She mentioned that she had brought up this bias in one of the faculty meetings...as a female professor teaching a quantitative, required course, she has three strikes against her (and me, too, for that matter). These evaluations are still used for tenure and promotion decisions at many university.
