2007-11-10 - 9:10 a.m. ...seattle and our fixation with long pointy objects in the sky.... I'm finally getting around to posting our photos of Seattle. We had a relatively smooth ride, and were very excited to arrive at sunset in time to see this: Of course, we missed this view from our hotel room because we were stuck in this: Nevertheless, we were ecstatic to find that our room view gave us this view: Which changed in the light of day, saturday morning: and then again by saturday evening: when we also watched this: And then by Sunday morning we were greeted with this tremendous and way-cool fog when we opened the curtains:
while passing some lesser known, questionable establishments: In some places, the architecture provided distinct memories of our past - who would have thought you could find Jena's Intersh0p Tower and the NYC Fl@t Iron building in one shot?? Another great adventure was our relaxing trip to Bainbridge at dusk: K and I both have fond memories of these: And of course, we were tickled to note the first travelers allowed to leave the ferryboat: On our last day we decided to make a quick stop at the Olympic Sculpture Park, an urban sculpture park along the water and railway. Very cool. K was particularly taken with the ampersand: whereas I felt quite an affinity for this piece that reminded me of bellies: And of course, from every location there was a possibility to sneak a peak at this guy again: And overall it was a delight to be walking along the harbor, in the fog, on a sunny autumn day: This ends our fascinating tour of the City with this thing: We had a lovely time, but were also very happy to get home to these little guys:
