2008-10-24 - 4:32 p.m. ...bronchialitis... and so much for my day of writing. It's 4:30pm, and I have spent the day with my daughter instead. It was necessary. Although of course also a little frustrating. We scurried off to the doctor at noon. She listened and agreed that Susi is wheezing, and so she booked us an immediately appointment "not far from here." The definition of "not far from here" is subjective. We spent 25 minutes driving to "not far from here," and saw two more doctors, who diagnosed the little one with bronchialitis and prescribed an inhaler for her. (Just HOW a 9-month-old uses an inhaler is beyond me. Tell her to exhale. Pump the inhaler. Put her eyes back in??). Of course, the minute we got to the doctor's office, Susi went from being a totally despondent child to smiling, chattering, and climbing the walls. Ahem. Oh, she coughed and wheezed a few times for good measure...but it was hard for the doctors to accept that this was a cranky child.. Turns out that Susi's cranky is 'normal' to the rest of the world. So then we came home. did some shopping. and now I'm catching the bug. And now I also here the little one screaming downstairs - she fell. Gotta go. leave a note
