...to our roots in Jena...

We're in Jena!!! Oh how wonderful to see this town again. Turns out K's dear friends from the MPI now live in an old renovated house on the top of a hill - a house that I always walked passed and longed to live in. They are a mere 200 steps straight up the hill from the center of town (forgot about Jena's hills - no wonder I was in great shape here). And the house just smells like Jena! I love it.

K's friends are perfect hosts - and brilliant decorators. Our only point of discomfort - the guest bed. You know those blow-up beds? They can be great. Unfortunately, this one was a bit more like trying to sleep on a bouncy castle. With a baby with arms and legs as long as an orangotan's between us. Oops, gotta go, baby has gotten into something.
