...clothing failure...

This week I bought a new tie-dye tunic shirt. It plunges provocatively in the front, revealing the ample gifts that God gave me. I like it because it is colorful and feminine, and extremely comfortable. and stretchy. I am not sure if I am ready to demonstrate my ample gifts in front of my students..but I have no troubles letting them out on non-lecture days.

Today is a non-teaching day, and also the day that I took four boxes of books to the post office to be posted to Houston for people in hurricane shelters.

Anyway, the boxes were heavy, and the streets packed with cars. My friend the technician dropped me and the books off in front of Mailboxes, Etc. It was a struggle to get all the boxes to the curb, and then into the building. After a few minutes of hauling I reached the door and saw my reflection. In the hauling process, my nice new stretchy top had pulled itself down to my navel...There I was, Amazon style..Left ample wobbly bit hangin' in the wind. (err, still covered in armor required for such ample wobbly bits, but nevertheless revealed in a rather awkward and obvious fashion for the postal staff..)

I still love this shirt. I just don't know if I'll trust it ever again..
