Right now the weather is clear and blue, just as it was four years ago. And the city feels very subdued. The radio announcer is recounting the timeline of September 11, 2001. It is a strange weekend to be in New York City.

Timelines seem to be the rage right now. Yesterday NPR did an extremely good piece on the past two weeks of events on the Gulf Coast:

This morning I read that reconstruction contracts for the Gulf Coast are already preferentially going to some familiar names: Halliburton.
