2005-12-09 - 10:27 a.m. another week past...snow...housework.. I made it through this week. I taught 8 classes and forced my body out of bed every morning at 5:30am. Truth be told, *I* didn't do the forcing. K and I took advantage of the time difference - he called me at 11:30am German time every morning. We got our signals crossed, and he thought I was teaching today as well. Oops. The first words out of my mouth at 5:30am were a grumbled zerknaucht, "I don't teach today..." His only word was, "bye." Wow, it felt wonderful to curl up for another two hours of sleep. The world is coated in SNOW! I love it. And I don't even have to walk in it! (except to the laundromat down the street). My apartment is a mess and I really should clean it. But I'm reminded of Carol Channing's poem "Housework" from my favorite children's album "Free to Be, You and Me" ... Oh the power of prophecy. The poem goes on to advise that when there is housework to do, be sure that you do it TOGETHER. Sigh. I wish I had a together. I'm in the process of planning my Christmas holiday, and realizing that I will fly to my parents' and spend it without K. But there is snow outside. I'm cold, and I want to cuddle up with some tea.. leave a note
