...still getting settled...

Firstly, thanks to all of you who have written your welcomes to K. I am so very happy to have him here - and also exhausted! I think that the follow-up from anticipation is fatigue.

We are not yet used to being around each other without being totally focussed on each other - or at least, I'm not. But I think even more tiring is the simple process of getting settled. We are dumping out old things and making space for new things. We are running errands. It takes a strange amount of time, especially in Queens. But it is rather exciting to be rid of boxes, and to make decisions to eliminate stuff. Plus, thanks to K, the kitchen is at last clean. He is amazing at doing dishes.

I think I will leave off here - I know that I should sound happy and in love and romantic. But truthfully I'm not a terribly romantic person, and more than anything I feel the need to attack this long list of things that I absolutely have to do before we leave for the beach tomorrow.
