2006-11-25 - 8:37 a.m. ..thanksgiving enacted.. I came home last night with a horrible tummy ache. The kind where I lay under blankets and shivered, rather than eating dinner or doing any cooking (bleh). The ache wrapped around to my kidneys, making fizzy water and bed the most appealing option. Something I ate clearly opposed me. K put it best - these are the best pains to get because you know that they are going to go away (i.e., far better than something like a toothache.). I'm not sure that I was completely convinced at the time he said it. But yeah, he's right - this morning I am up and drinking coffee and so far functioning, although with that vague sense that I had pain somewhere in my body yesterday. I will try my hand at some dry toast in a bit. Today will be my enactment of Thanksgiving day. I had invited some people from work (two professors, and my choir director), but alas they are busy. But on the positive side, our landlords have agreed to come, as has our almost-landlord, and a woman we met at our garage sale. We will have people present - an odd mix of people, but nevertheless people. We will hear Happy Thanksgiving. leave a note
