...waiting for godot...

Just got back from my first lecture /discussion class, designed after the students' ideas of how they would like to see the class structured.

At least the students seemed engaged today. Of course, I pulled out the big guns. The IPCC and climate policy is a huge topic these days, and climate change is what I know the most about, and consequently a topic about which *I'm* most engaged. It's getting tougher from here on out. Next week it's ozone and the Montreal Protocol. We'll see how this one goes - means that I will have to spend today struggling to find literature.

Speaking of which, I spend a lot of time visiting our library's server, which they've poignantly named "Godot." So everytime I'm waiting on a library search, the little message on the information bar of my web browser says "waiting for godot.lib.blah.ca"

Huh. Librarian humor. gotta love it.
