...the half-life of administratium is way too long....

I've been soooo piled under. I've lost all time for fun reading, fun writing, fun anything basically. It sucks - and next week it looks like it is going to get worse. I've just canceled my appointment for tomorrow so that I can go off on my own and try to get something done.

On Friday I was feeling very very low. It was the accumulation of two weeks like this - of issues with my students, of a new class with one or two students who are bringing the whole attitude down. It was giving my daughter shots, and meeting with my doctor. It was facing the truth of the tax credit that we thought we would get and now are not qualified for. It's just so many things that suck all at once, financially, personally, physically, professionally..

I know. Things are basically good. But oh, on Friday as I walked to work, I so needed a random act of kindness. Unfortunately, I didn't get one. Sigh.
