I've never been a particularly enthusiastic Halloweener. But this year Budda got pretty excited by the concept. I came home last night to find our yard decorated in spiderwebs and tombstones, with the Grim Reaper hanging off our front porch. I've embraced this concept and carved three pumpkins, and put candles and red lanterns on the front porch. I've arranged for a spotlight for the gravestone, and K is on his way to Praxair to pick up some dry ice so we can drum up some fog. This is kinda fun.

We took Susi - dressed as Tigger - around the Drive today. She toddled into a few places and smiled at people and was totally bewildered by the concept of candy. She tried to give candy collected at one house back in the next store. And finally she was tired of the whole thing and just wanted to run on the sidewalk, until poor Tigger just couldn't bounce anymore. And then she just fell asleep in the stroller. But she'll be wound up again tonight for her brief bounce to three or four houses. And that will be her first participatory Halloween.
